Newest Member of the Family

Well, our latest addition to the family arrived this morning at 2:20 AM. All the way from Alabama! Isn't she cute? The gentleman delivering the puppy called & told us he was about 5 hours away which meant that he would arrive around 2:30 AM. Zoe said that she was going to stay up & wait, but she fell asleep about 1 AM. However, her daddy woke her up right before the delivery van pulled up to the house. Zoe was so excited. You should have seen her sitting in front of the front glass door. It was so cute. Anyway.....here she is.....Maggie!!!! Enjoy the pictures!

The BIG Gym

Well, yesterday was Zoe's first day of gymnastics in the BIG gym. I think she was a little intimidated, but she did very well. Even though she is the youngest, she held her own. She actually one the chin up contest - 9 of them all by herself. Her new teacher, Miss Brittany, was quite impressed. She said that Zoe's upper body strength is amazing. I think Zoe had fun, but she keeps saying that she wants to go back to the little gym. It's all new - new classmates, new instructor, new routines, etc. We'll just take it one class at a time & see how things go.

My business website is up & running:

I am very excited about this adventure. I've sent care packages for years to individuals, but have not ventured into making it a small business. I'm anxious to see if it's going to take off. Check it out & let me know what you think.

Gymnastics & High School Musical

Yesterday was a great day for Zoe. While at her weekly gymnastics class, she was selected to move to the big gym with the big girls. This is a BIG deal considering that she was bumped over two levels to get there. So, her new class will be on a new day & a new time. She will be attending a weekly two hour session instead of her usual one hour session. Zoe is very excited because she will be joining her friend Mya (who was moved up about 3 weeks ago) who she's been in class with before. The only down fall is that Miss Tracy will no longer be her instructor. Zoe promised Miss Tracy that we will stop in the little gym for visits from time to time.

Last night Zoe, Daddy, & Mommy saw High School Musical at an outdoor theater. While Mom & Dad thought it was very good, Zoe had mixed feelings. She mentioned during the show that something wasn't right about it. She told her dad that it wasn't the same as the movie. Therefore, she didn't really like it. (Quite hard for a 4 year old to understand the difference between a movie & a musical.) Anyway, we enjoyed our little family outing, even though it was a very late night.

Baseball & Dust

We had a fabulous weekend. My nephews each had a baseball tournament about 10 minutes from our home. Since we rarely get to see them play we spent the entire weekend at ballgames. What made it even more exciting was that both nephews won the championship for their age division. They each played excellent & both had numerous hits! Good job, Zack & Blake!

And of course, where there's a ball field, there's a playground. Zoe enjoyed our time at the ballgames as she played with new friends that Aunt Tracy introduced her. Each night that we came home we had to hose her off because she was covered in dust & dirt. (The baseball fields could definitely have used some rain!) Zoe is hoping that we attend a tournament over the 4th of July that Blake is in because she would like to spend some more time with her new friend Emily!

She says that, but we will see what the next week or so brings. You never know what's in store....

A New Adventure

Well, after numerous months of reading other people's blogs, I've decided to join in. Not sure what I'm getting myself into, but we'll see. I figure this will be a way for friends & family that we do not see everyday to keep in touch with us.

Zoe is enjoying staying home with me this summer. Her first two summers she attended daycare two days a week. We felt it was very important to keep her in a routine & also it allowed her time to play with her school friends. Needless to say, she says that she does NOT miss daycare. We've been busy swimming, playing outside, attending ballgames, & coloring. I must admit, I love her being home with me also. I'm sure there will be days when we get on each other's nerves, but so far so good!
